Yawcam Requirements
Before you download Yawcam, please remember that there are requirements that you need to fulfill first:
- Runtime Environment (JRE) 6 or later
- DirectX 9 or later
- Windows Media Player 9 or later
- Windows 2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10 or later
What is Yawcam used for?
You can view a live broadcast from your webcam or DV camera with Yawcam (Yet Another Webcam Software). The program can store recorded snapshots to a local file, upload them to a remote FTP server, or offer them through the built-in web server in addition to media streaming. The motion detection technology allows you to start taking photos or execute other activities automatically anytime the software detects motion in the surveillance area.
Customizable text overlays, timestamps, motion detection mode, a built-in scheduling engine, password protection, image-to-movie conversion, and more are among the other features. Once you download Yawcam, you may run it as a Windows service if preferred.
Do you want to keep an eye on your house from your Android? A live video stream is available on your Android web browser using its built-in streaming server.
Yawcam Alternatives
Webcamoid is the most excellent open-source alternative to Tawcam software. If that doesn’t work for you, Shinobi (Free Personal, Open Source), iSpy (Freemium, Open Source), ZoneMinder (Free, Open Source), and motionEyeOS are some more open-source alternatives to Tawcam software (Free, Open Source). Wrapping Up
If you want to set up a security camera at home and monitor it for free, this is the surveillance software to use. This software has been tested on PCs in both the office and at home. It’s pretty simple to set up with a lot of features.
It accomplishes all of your objectives. It supports HTTP, FTP, and FILE snapshots. It doesn’t end there; it also boasts excellent streaming capabilities. Of course, you may save the result as files that your own web server can deliver. It’s fantastic software; it accomplishes what commercial software fails to do, and it does so for free. (2, 3)
We highly recommend Yawcam as one of the best easy to use recording software out there. If you want to go into more depth and use a much more robust system we would recommend you go with spy but it may be a bit difficult to grasp for most users.
